Assam State Biodiversity Board (ASBB) has invited applications for 60 Biodiversity Interns positions to update the People's Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) of Village Panchayat Biodiversity Management Committees across Assam. This one-month internship program is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students studying with honors in Botany, Zoology, Ecology, Wildlife Science, or related subjects at colleges and universities in Assam. Applications must be submitted offline through their respective institutions by February 7, 2026.

ASBB Biodiversity Interns Vacancy 2026

  • The Assam State Biodiversity Board (ASBB) has published a total of 60 vacancies for the post of Biodiversity Intern under its one-month Internship Programme.

ASBB Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate or postgraduate students studying in colleges and universities of Assam with honours in Botany, Zoology, and related fields of Ecology and Wildlife Science.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 23 years

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Plant & animal identification knowledge.
  • Good English & Assamese communication.
  • Field survey experience.
  • MS Excel/Word knowledge.

Domicile:

  • The applicant must be a resident of Assam.

ASBB Recruitment Stipend

Selected candidates for the Biodiversity Intern position will receive a fixed stipend of Rs.5,000 for the entire one-month internship period. The stipend will be paid only after the successful completion of the assigned work and internship tasks.

Interested and eligible candidates must apply offline by filling out the prescribed application form and attaching all self-attested supporting documents such as identity proof and educational qualification certificates. The application form must be forwarded through their respective institutions. The completed hard copy must be sent by post to the Member Secretary, Assam State Biodiversity Board, 2nd Floor, Aranya Bhawan, Panjabari, Guwahati - 781037.

The selection process will include the following steps -

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
